A massive poker festival is currently underway at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in South Florida. The “Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown” kicked off on April 13 and runs through May 2, featuring a total of 61 events. The series culminates in the $3,500 buy-in World Poker Tour (WPT) Seminole Poker Showdown Championship.

The WPT Seminole Hard Poker Showdown Championship returns this year and comes with a $3,500 buy-in and a massive $3,000,000 guarantee. The tournament is expected to draw both the pros and recreational players, with some of the biggest names in the game likely to join in on the action. The tournament gets underway on April 28 and plays down to a final table on May 2.
The finalists will meet again to compete for the title on May 25 at Luxor’s HyperX Esports Arena in Las Vegas. The 2022 edition of the tournament was won by Mark Davis who took home $1,000,300 in top prize. He defeated Darren Elias heads-up, denying him of his fifth WPT title.
Other Highlights
The schedule features other big events, including the $10,000 buy-in Deepstack No-Limit Hold’em which kicks off on April 25. It will be followed by the $50,000 buy-in Super High Roller (April 26), and the $25,500 buy-in High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha (April 27).
