PokerStars Ontario is offering its players a fun and rewarding way of ringing in the Year of the Rabbit with the Chinese New Year Tournament Series. The festival features 75 unique events which players can enter for as low as $5.
Main Highlights
The festival, which got underway on January 13 and will run until January 23, will culminate in the Main Event which takes place on the actual day of the Chinese New Year on January 22. The tournament costs $200 to enter and comes with a guaranteed prize pool of $65,000.
The schedule also includes two high roller events with buy-ins of $1,000, one of which is already in the books. The other one, named The Lion Dance, plays out on January 19. A handful of progressive KO tournaments have also been thrown into the mix.
The Chinese New Year Tournament Series comes right on the heels of the successful $1.3M GTD Winter Series which ended on January 10. The festival featured dozens of tournaments split into three buy-in levels. Several events managed to surpass their guarantees, including the $1,000 High Roller Main Event.
