Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather has made a big announcement and claimed that a potential fight with UFC star Conor McGregor could be in the works. Mayweather fought McGregor back in August 2017 and both fighters are alleged to have made over $100 million each.
Mayweather won that fight by stoppage and has since only taken part in exhibition fights.
Mayweather vs. McGregor 2 In The Works?
Mayweather claims that either a real fight or an exhibition fight could take place with McGregor but no dates have been announced. McGregor is currently filming a movie and hasn’t fought in the UFC for over a year after suffering a nasty leg break.
Mayweather is set to take part in a quick 3 round exhibition fight in Japan over the weekend when he takes on 30 year old Japanese MMA star Mikuru Asakura. Money Mayweather is also set to fly to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in November to have another exhibition fight with 25 year old YouTuber Deji who is the brother to social media personality KSI.
McGregor responded to Mayweather’s claims and said no thanks to the potential invitation but its unlike McGregor to turn down another shot at getting revenue at Mayweather. This drama between the two fighters could be another media circuit to promote Mayweather vs. McGregor 2.
